# Privacy

This page exists because the enquiry form on this site asks for your name and phone number, and you are entitled to know where that goes before you type it. It is written plainly and it is short, because a privacy notice nobody can read is not a notice.

## What is collected, and when

Only if you fill in the enquiry form: your name, phone number, business name, industry, what you are trying to achieve, your timeline, your current challenge and how many people work on marketing. Nothing is collected until you press send.

On every visit, automatically: standard analytics — pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what referred it, and which of the site's own links were tapped. This is not tied to a name, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

Server logs kept by our host, which include IP addresses, as is normal for any website.

## Who else sees it

Three processors, and no advertising networks:

- Formspark (submit-form.com) receives and stores the enquiry form submissions, and forwards them to us by email.

- Google Analytics 4 records the anonymous usage described above.

- Vercel hosts the site and keeps the server logs.

Your details are not sold, not rented, and not passed to any other party. There is no advertising pixel on this site.

## How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as there is a live conversation, and for up to two years afterwards so that we can pick a thread back up. Analytics data expires on Google's standard retention schedule. If you ask us to delete an enquiry sooner, we will, and we will confirm when it is done.

## How to have it deleted

Email [team@thesocialalgorithm.work](mailto:team@thesocialalgorithm.work) and ask. You do not need to give a reason. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct it.

If you would rather not be measured at all, browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop the analytics from loading, and the site works normally without it.

## The honest caveat

This is a description of what actually happens on this site, written by the person who built it. It is not legal advice and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. If you need a formal data processing agreement before working with us, ask and we will put one in place.

## Common questions

### Do you use cookies?

Only the ones Google Analytics sets to tell one visit from another. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers on this site.

### Will filling in the form put me on a mailing list?

No. There is no mailing list. The form starts a conversation with a person and nothing else.

### Where is my data stored?

With the three processors named above, on their own infrastructure. We do not run a database of our own for this site.
